Sara (Belle) Jane Salazar

Sara Jane Salazar, 54, of Harker Heights, passed away on July 18, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 12 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10 am.

Sara was born on April 1, 1969, in Killeen, Texas. She completed her education through Killeen Independant School District, and spent several years working at the ASYMCA before gaining employment at Mountain View Elementary as a teacher's aide. She was so very loved by both students and staff and brought joy to those around her. Sara loved owls and the color purple, and spending her time crafting and going to thrift stores in the area and was quite known to spend a day at a thrift shop before finding the perfect item to bring home.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Josie (Lozano) Salazar; brothers, Steven Salazar and his wife, Susie, of Temple, and Michael Salazar and his wife, Lori of Belton; son, Jacob Martinez of Harker Heights; daughter, Sierra Lawson and her husband, Cody of Rogers; as well as her 3 grandchildren, Lilliana Lawson, Eli Lawson and Nova Lawson.
