Carlos Alonso Ybarra, son of Maria Maya and Hilario Ybarra, born November 28, 1970 and passed away unexpectedly on Saturday September 26, 2015 at the age of 44. He is survived by wife Valarie Ybarra, daughter, Rebecca Ybarra and his three step children: Juan Tobias, Jose Tobias and Reyna Fernandez. He has also left behind six grandchildren: Jesenia Tobias, Carrina Tobias, Frankie Fernandez, Alex Fernandez, Raymond Tobias and Ramondo Tobias.
Carlos was a proud veteran, his service included six deployments Desert Storm, Kosovo, Kuwait and three tours in Iraq where he earned Bronze Star with Valor, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Marine Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star and NATO Medal. He took great pride in his service and valued his fellow soldiers as family.
Carlos had a love for dove hunting and shooting at the range. He had interest in anything and everything history related. He enjoyed trying different types of food and cooking.
Carlos was a man of many words and stories. He will be forever loved, remembered and missed by many as he was truly a remarkable man.
