Sherry Cagle

Sherry Lee Cagle, age 83 of Killeen, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024. She was born April 6, 1941, to Finis Spain and Gladys Ione Smith Spain in Cotton Plant, Arkansas.

She is survived by two daughters Rita Springfield of New Braunfels, Texas and Pamela Haston-Dodge (Herbie) of Knoxville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Justin Springfield (Jenna), Jerris Springfield (Kyndra), Cody Haston, Sami Springfield, and Trey Dodge (Eryn); 10 great grandchildren, Ava, Henry, Jarrett, Mason, Rylee, Kamdyn, Wyatt, Watson, Isabella, and Ellis; one brother, Russell “Rat” Spain (Ruby) of Marianna, Arkansas; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David H. Cagle, one brother Odis “Bo” Spain, and two sisters, Bobbie Turley and Ola Dean Pickett.

Viewing and visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm, Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home located at 506 N 38th St, Killeen, TX 79543.

Funeral services will follow at 1 pm Tuesday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery 11463 TX-195, Killeen, Texas 76542.

Family will host a celebration of life Tuesday afternoon at 3 pm at Sandy’s Lone Star Events 14600 FM439, Nolanville, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, if desired, may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
