Silviano Perez, age 70, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Silviano “Shano” was born on April 3, 1953, in Navasota, Texas to Ruth Coronado and Valentin Galvan Perez, Jr. He was the oldest of 6 children. He graduated from Killeen High School in 1972 and then attended Texas A&I Kingsville.
Shano is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Perez; Brother, Eddie Perez; Brother, Ruben Perez; Sister, Mary Gutierrez and husband Juan; Brother, Arthur Perez and wife Tanya; Brother, Israel Perez and wife Lindsey; Son, Brad Bridges and wife Deanna; Son, Troy Murphy; Granddaughters, Willow and Nirvana; Brother-in-law Mike Balloun and wife Patty; Sister-in-law Cindy Flora and husband Aaron; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Silviano lived an admirable life on this earth and is now at home in Heaven with his Mother and Father; his Tios and Tias; Sister-in-law Linda Perez; nephew Samuel Gutierrez and many cousins.
Shano was a life-long tennis player. He started playing at a young age, played in high school and was also a member of his college tennis team. He instilled a passion for tennis into his youngest brother and nephews. Shano was a great coach!
Shano was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and barbequing with the family. He especially loved celebrating Easter and Christmas with his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Shano spent the last 13+ years working for Brookshire Brothers in the produce department. Over the years, he also worked produce for Minimax, Tom Thumb, Randalls, HEB, Dillon’s in Kansas and Walmart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and co-workers.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 27, from 5-7 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will take place on Friday, October 27, at 6 pm, also at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, at 10 am, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home. Burial will follow on Saturday, October 28, at Killeen City Cemetery.
Family and friends are welcome to join us to celebrate Silviano’s life, immediately following the burial, at Patricia Ann’s Banquet Hall, 312-B Priest Dr. in Killeen.
