Steffanie Smith

Funeral Services for Steffanie V. Smith, 45, of Harker Heights, will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday May 21,2012 at Memorial Baptist Church, 4001 Trimmier with graveside services following at Central TX State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mrs. Smith died May 15, 2012 at a local hospital. Steffie was born June 6th, 1966 to Richard and Bunny Becker in Evreux, France. She was an Air Force military brat and lived in many places until her father retired from the Air Force in 1985 in Spokane, WA. She graduated from Moreno Valley High School in CA in 1984.
She worked at Killeen Daily News for her first job in Texas. She then worked for DynCorp on Ft. Hood until 2006 and for DS2 from 2007 until the time of her death.
She met and married her beloved husband, Garry in 1992. They would have celebrated 20th anniversary on September 26th.
She was preceded in death by her father, MSgt Richard D. Becker, USAF ret brother John and both sets of grandparents.
Steffies life was about her husband, dog, family and helping people anywhere and wherever she could. She loved God and tried to live a life that would please Him. No kinder heart could ever be found.
Survivors include her mother Bunny Becker of Killeen, beloved husband Garry E. Smith of Harker Heights, MotherinLaw Janice Smith of Cottonwood, AL. Brother and Sister in law Johnny and Joni of Cottonwood, AL. Sisters Carmen and husband Eddie of Apple Valley, CA, Wendi and husband John of Girard, PA. Tracy and husband Ronald of Rancho Cordova, CA. Nieces Ashley and Raye Nephews Frank, Richard, Ronnie, J.R., Jonathon and Drew.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 20 at HarperTalasek in Killeen. A bereavement reception following graveside services will be at Memorial Baptist Church at 4001 W. Trimmier, Killeen TX. All who knew and loved Steffanie are welcome to attend.
