Sun Ong

A Mass of Christian burial for Sun Duk Ong, 50, of Killeen will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church with Father Peter Shin officiating. Interment will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.

She was born Dec. 20, 1959, in South Korea to Chul Han Kim and Keum Rae Lee. She married Kap Jin Ong in 1973 and came to the U.S. in 1984.

Her passions were gardening and her grandchildren. Mrs. Ong was a strong willed, loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Kap Jin Ong of Killeen her daughters, Jung Hee Kim, Jung Mee Flippo, Jung Ju Nguyen, Jung Ok Ong and Sun Mi Ong, all of Austin brother, Yo Sang Kim of Hawaii sisters, Sun Hung Ko and Sun Mae Kim, both of Killeen and five grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at HarperTalasek Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
