Sun "Sunshine" Edwards

November 16, 1949 — March 25, 2023

Killeen, TX

Sun P. Edwards was born Chang Sun Pok on November 16, 1949. She married Larry Edwards who was in the army and they traveled to places around the world. They lived in Seattle, Washington; Peoria, Illinois; Virginia, Korea, Germany and finally retired in Killeen.

She always helped other people. She went to her church, Full Gospel, at 4 am every day and was always at church every Sunday. She would make yakimando and bulgogi, among other things, for the community. Her church friends were her life, and she loves them all deeply.

She was an avid gardener, loved fishing, and just overall being outside. She loved being a grandmother and her happiest times were when all the grandkids would come over. She was very independent and strong willed. Her favorite color was yellow, favorite food was ssambap.

Sun is survived by her son, Jae Edwards, his wife, Charleen, and their children, Jae Edwards Jr. and Tiffani Edwards; her sister, Chang Blair and her sons, William Gabble and wife, Mandy Hopper and their kids, Tiffani Draper and Sierra Gabble, and Kenny Gabble; her oldest son, Bryce Gabble and wife, Jamie Jones and their kids, Kenny Gabble Jr. and Olijana Gabble.

Oh, and don't forget her dog, Sunshine, who walked Mom every day and made her go shopping for dog outfits.

Sun P. Edwards was a loving wife and a beyond super, fantastic, and loving mom, aunt, sister, and grandmother.
