Thelma French

Thelma Jean Montgomery French passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 in Round Rock, TX.

Thelma was born July 30, 1933 in Miles, TX. She married Norman French in Austin, TX in 1955 and they moved around with his career in the USAF. Thelma retired from the City of Austin WWW Department in 1994. Thelma & Norman owned & operated the Lakeside Motosport race track where their family & friends made many wonderful memories and where she ran the best concession stand around. She enjoyed having family gatherings and was a fantastic cook. She enjoyed collecting beautiful crystal & dishware. She loved wearing her Sunday best while attending church at First Baptist in Hamilton, Tx. Thelma is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Norman L. French. Thelma is survived by her children Norman L. French, Jr. (Rocky) & spouse Naz, Mart French, Judi Beckham & spouse Jack, stepdaughter Sherry Knight & spouse Darrow, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Dollie Bracewell & spouse Vernon who will miss her terribly.

Graveside services for Thelma will be provided by Harper Talesek Funeral Home Killeen, TX at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located at 11463 State Hwy 195 Killeen TX on September 27, 2022 at 9am with Pastor Drew Dabbs officiating.
