Thomas Tucker Sr.

Funeral services for Thomas J. Tucker, Sr., 72, of Killeen, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen, with Army chaplain Capt. Sorrensen officiating.BRBRTucker died Aug. 22, 2008, in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1936, in Sparta, Wisconsin to the late Joseph and Vera Tucker.

Thomas enlisted into the US Army on February 2, 1955 in Milkewa, Wisconsin. He married the former Miss Jeannine Thomas on April 26, 1958 in Nancy, France. He retired from the military as a Sergeant First Class after serving 20 years.

His awards include the National Defense Service Medal; Good Conduct Medal Clasp, Bronze 5 Loops; Army Commendation Medal; Joint Service Commendation Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Korea; Vietnam Service Medal w3 Bronze Service Stars; Expert Rifle; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry.

Survivors include his wife Jeannine Tucker of Killeen; sons Thomas J. Tucker Jr. and Michael R. Tucker of Killeen; daughters; Martine C. Ocasio of Killeen; Wendy K. Norman of New Castle, PA; sisters; Patricia Cook of Bremmerton, WA; Gloria Reynolds of Pflugerville, TX; 6 Grandchildren
