Services for Truman Lee Williams, 62, of Evant, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at Gillum Cemetery.BRBRHe died Jan. 5, 2008, in a Temple hospital.BRBRTruman was born Dec. 3, 1945, in Lampasas, to Hermer C. and Grace Cameron Williams. He graduated from Killeen High School in 1963 and served in the United States Army with a tour in Vietnam. Truman married Myrtle Deaton on June 7, 1969, in Killeen. He started a plumbing company in Copperas Cove in 1971 and continued to work there until his semi-retirement in 2006.BRBRHe was preceded in death by his parents.BRBRSurvivors include his wife, Myrtle, of Evant; son, Bradley Williams of Copperas Cove; daughter, Melissa Dewald and her husband, Jason of Copperas Cove; sisters, Marlene Rhamy of Killeen, Wanda Langford of Oakalla, Joan Vann Bates and her husband, Robert of Harker Heights; grandchildren, Travis and Cameron Joy Dewald of Copperas Cove.BRBRMemorials may be made to the American Cencer Society.BRBRThe family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is also handling the arrangements.
