Tsomwe Big OO. Tsolumba

Funeral services for Pfc. Tsomwe O. Tsolumba, 22, of Killeen will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.

As the scriptures affirm children to be the gracious gift of God assigned to parents; Tsomwe Obeduah Tsolumba was born and assigned to the parental stewardship of Willie and Daphna Pope on November 1, 1986, in Miami, Florida.

The fruit of Spirit-filled inspiration and instruction orchestrated by God through Pastor Arthur Jackson led him to secure his eternal destiny at the tender age of thirteen. Consequently, he united with the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in pursuit of getting to know his Savior as Lord.

Upon relocating from Miami, Florida to Killeen, Texas in 2001, he and his family were led to further their commitment in service to the Lord by uniting with the Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church. Here, Big O made it his determination to serve the Lord by ministering to the needs of visitors and his church family through Ushers Ministry. The strength of his appearance was complimented by the gentle fragrance of his demeanor whenever he received or directed people in the house of the Lord. The essence of his character portrayed by his spirit gave testimony to the strength and sensitivity of the God he served.

O attended and graduated from Ellison High School in 2005. During his years at Ellison he seized the joy of exercising his athletic abilities as a member of the football team. The fruit of his athletic abilities would result in him receiving a football scholarship to play for Valley City State University in North Dakota. While here, the extreme change in climate cold weather served to be instrumental in persuading him to redirect the focus of his pursuit from athletics to academics alone. This would afford him the opportunity to return to Killeen, where he would further his pursuit of higher education at Central Texas College. One year later, he would leave Central Texas College in Killeen to further his pursuit of higher education at Sam Houston State University for a period of one year.
PIn October of 2008, Obeduah exercised the liberty to enter the second highest union known to man, save Christ; when he married his High School Sweetheart, Kymbra Lovan. A young man of godly character with a genuine conviction for the value of responsibility; Obeduah purposed to enhance the process of meeting the immediate responsibilities and long term goals of a new found family man. He enlisted in the United States Army to serve the demands assigned to Medical Supply Logistics. He attended and successfully completed Basic Training a st1
