Born in Seoul, after the settling of the dust and ash
On a day, a few moons after war's echoes had clashed
The old world’s ending
In the wake of chaos
A new life began in the mending of what had broken
Eun-son emerged from this broken world of strife
A daughter of grit, a warrior in life
Her father, Yu-nik, her mother, Myong-ho
Strong and true, they saw her through – to know
From Chang-son Jeong’s lineage deep
A family that could not sleep
Survival
Her siblings - Eun-sook, Joo-eun, Eun-mi, and Joo-yong
Each carrying a piece of the same old song sung
In a country that burned from the proxy war
With an artist’s soul and a heart that would sway
She found her way
With a singer’s flow and a voice that would soar
This – her encore
A fast learner, her talent untamed
Her artistic journey left unframed
Tumult, through-and-through, she stood her ground
In faux democracy’s march, hope found
Her spirit free
Her actions quiet, though deep they did go
A force, a rebel, with her heart aglow
Her artistry
She met Dean Barry Munger in Seoul’s bright light
In the wake of that instant, their hearts took flight
A marriage forged in fires of sacrifice
Their bond stood firm despite the crushing price
Out of loyalty
Blessed, perhaps from above
To Janet, Jamie, and Jereme – she gave it her all
A mother’s unconditional love stands ever tall
Her sacrifice for them is known far and wide
She cherished her children with unyielding pride
To Jolie, Leah, and Dean – she gifted her passions
A grandmother’s legacy lives through your own fashions
The joy from them kept the fire burning
They were the brightest lights in her eyes
Her nature was quiet, a reserved soul
Yet, her heart burned bright, a fire full of goal
She embodied the modern woman’s might
Strength, independence, a mind full of light
Yet, for her family, she’d bend and break
By adapting and giving, for their sake
Her emotions ran deep
The truths she chose to keep
Often bottled, they’d surface when needed
Eun-son’s life was one of sacrifice true
Her story, an adventure, for us to pursue
She taught us to live
To love
To grow
She taught us to find our own path
To let our light shine
Her strength
Her courage
Her care
Her love
Will guide us forever
Let us honor Eun-son Jeong Munger’s name
A mother
A wife
A woman
Whose love will remain
Her journey continues in all that we do
In our minds and hearts, she is forever true
