Funeral services for Vannessa A. Sledge, 47, of Killeen will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Christian Center, with Pastor Steve Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville, Ala.BRBRVannessa died June 1, 2008, in a Temple hospital. She was born Aug. 9. 1960, in Huntsville, Ala.BRBRShe was employed by AAFES on Fort Hood as a sales associate. She was also a proud member of Grace Christian Center.BRBRVannessa was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Sledge.BRBRSurvivors include her mother Irene Sledge of Killeen; her brothers, Johnnie Sledge Jr. of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. and Benny Sledge and his wife, Denise, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; her uncles, Robert Sledge and Elijah Holden both of Huntsville, Ala.: and her aunts, Lottie Ragland and Lorene Jones both of Huntsville, Ala.BRBRVisitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
