Willard Michael "Mike" Smith

Willard Michael "Mike" Smith, born on July 9, 1946, passed away on March 16, 2025. A proud graduate of Hunter Huss High School in Gastonia, North Carolina, Mike graduated in 1965 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He dedicated his career as a civil service high voltage electrician, retiring in 2002 after many years of hard work.

Mike had a deep faith in Christ, attending Bible college in Anchorage, Alaska, and living his life in service to Him. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was known for his kind spirit and strong convictions.

In addition to his faith, Mike was a gifted athlete, maintaining a commitment to physical fitness and regularly visiting the gym well into his 70s.

Mike is survived by his two daughters, Christina and Lisa, as well as their families; and family members in the Carolinas who will cherish his memory and the love he gave throughout his life.
