William Brown

No services are scheduled for retired Sgt. 1st Class William Brown, 73, of Killeen.

Mr. Brown died Nov. 6, 2013, at his residence. He was born Feb. 14, 1940, in Botetourt, Va., to the late Lawrence and Lillian Brown.
He married the former Mary Keenan on April 18, 1964, in Baltimore, Md. He joined the U.S. Army in 1962, and retired as a sergeant first class in 1985. He was a resident of Killeen for 28 years and a member of ABC Bowling.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Brown of Killeen children, Anna Kester, Margie Bradner, Richard Grimes, Laura Strickland, Michael Grimes, Mary Faulkrod, Diane Homs, William Brown Jr. and Russell Brown niece, Debbie Mellott 21 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.

HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
