William Joanis

William Joanis was called home by our Lord and Savior on December 3, 2021, at the age of 72.  Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 13, 1030, at Immanuel Lutheran Church,  Copperas Cove,  TX.  Inurnment will be at a later date at St Paul's Lutheran Cemetery,  Ellsworth,  KS.

He was born August 1, 1949, to Hugh and Beatrice Joanis  in Two Rivers,  WI where he was raised and educated.   On August 7, 1971, he married Carol Schultz at St. Paul's Lutheran Church,  Ellsworth,  KS.

Mr. Joanis was retired from the U.S. Army as a First Sergeant.   He graduated with honors from Central Texas College and the University of Central Texas  in Killeen.  He owned and operated Bill's Stump Grinding and Lawn Care Service for many years.   Mr. Joanis was a member of Faith Lutheran Church,  Lampasas,  TX and the Disabled Veterans of America.

Survivors include his wife, Carol,  Copperas Cove,  one son, Jonathan (Joni), Katy, TX, three grandchildren, and sister,  Linn Joanis.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and Kindred Hospice.
