Willie Washington Sr.

Willie Calvin Washington was born to Calvin Washington and Delilah Henry in Fairfield TX; February 18, 1943. Willie attended school in Fairfield and later moved to Brownfield, TX in the year 1962. Brownfield is where he met the love of his life, Lula Mae Fulbright. They were united in holy matrimony March 14th 1964.

Willie Washington began a career in agriculture and later became a successful businessman owning restaurants in Littlefield and Lubbock, TX. He later retired to Killeen in the year 2000.

Willie was a talented guitarist, playing and singing with the gospel groups Washington Aires and Joys of Aires.

He was preceded in death by his sister Ruby Earl Washington, Father Calvin Washington, Mother Delilah Washington, and a brother Andrew Lee Washington.

He is survived by his wife Lula Mae Washington of Killeen and Children David Fulbright of Hobbs, NM; Ruby Fulbright of Mart; Linda Griffin of Austin; Carolyn Wilson of Seagraves; Doris Slay of Killeen; Willie Washington Jr. of Moore, OK., and Bobby Washington of Dallas. He also has fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, sister-in-laws, and brother-in-laws whom all loved him and will miss him dearly.
