Willis Strickland

Graveside services for Willis E. Strickland, 60, of Killeen will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Killeen City Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Towers officiating. Mr. Strickland died April 29, 2010, at his residence.

Mr. Strickland was born Feb. 28, 1950, in Killeen, to Wilbur Glyn Strickland and Alice McMahan Strickland.

Mr. Strickland retired from a local telephone company after 35plus years.

Visitation services will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at HarperTalasek Funeral Chapel in Killeen.

Survivors include his mother Alice Strickland, one son, Shane Strickland and wife Lisa of Oswego, Ill. one daughter, Laney Strickland of Killeen three brothers, Glen Strickland, Calvin Strickland and wife Beth of Killeen, and Dale Strickland and wife Patricia of Pflugerville one sister, Diane Strickland of Killeen four grandaughters, Madylon Staton and triplets Olivia, Abigail and Isabella Strickland and 11 nieces and nephews.

Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Donald Wayne Strickland.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
