Wyota Ellis

Wyota Sue Ellis was born on February 24, 1940 in Brokenbow, Oklahoma. She married after High School to Freddie L. Ellis on June 21, 1959. They moved to Killeen, Texas via the Military in 1971. There she worked for KISD as a Teacher's Aide in a Special Education classroom. She retired in 2002 from KISD. Sue was an amazing and loving person who made everyone feel like family. She died on May 31st. 2018, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by family.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie L. Ellis; children, Vickie Ellis of Oklahoma City, OK, Betty & Robert Hermosillo of Harker Heights, TX, Fred & Tammy Ellis of Harker Heights, TX, Judy Ellis of Oklahoma City, OK, Scott & Rhonda Ellis of Florence, TX and Kevin Ellis & Jon Cabe of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Melissa & Kenneth King, Michael Hermosillo, Preston & Lisa Ellis, Emily Ellis, Taylor Ellis, Tyler Ellis, Mason & Emily Ellis, Ashley & Jon Overholt, Rachel Burchett & Asael Rodriguez and Justin Ellis & Mary Silas; and her great grandchildren; Jayden Smith, Jasmine Smith, Mia Rodriguez and Barron Ellis.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Harper-Talasek in Killeen. The funeral services will be held the following day, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 9:00am at the Southside Church of Christ, located at 1505 Trimmier Road, Killeen, Texas 76541. The burial will follow at the Central Texas Veteran's cemetery.
