Yong Kim

Services for Yong Hui Kim, 64, will be at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen with pastor Sung H. Kim officiating.

Surrounded by loving friends and dear family, Mrs. Kim passed away peacefully Feb. 26th 2010. She was born August 20th, 1944, in Seoul, South Korea to parents Hong, Tal Ho, and Shin, Ok Sun. She married her husband Kim, Byung Wan in July of 1968.

Yong was giving, generous, and focused on the good in everyone. Her greatest accomplishment in life was instilling these characteristics in her children. Yong was a strong independent lady who lived a vibrant life. Her favorite activities included a drive on a nice afternoon, road trips, ice skating, bowling, taking her loved ones shopping, and watching her children and grandchildren feed the ducks at the pond.

Mrs. Kim is survived by her sons Koo Hyung, Koo Ho her daughters Chong Won, Soyoun, and her Neomi her sister Hong, Yong Nam, soninlaw Greg daughtersinlaw Tracy and Melissa grandchildren, Taylor, Allie, Shelby and Sophie and the late Byung Wan Kim.

Visitation will be from 68 p.m. today at the HarperTalasek Funeral Home, 506 N. 38th St., Killeen.
