Benjamin W. Allison, Jr was born in 1951, in Beaumont TX, to Benjamin and Hilda Allison. He joined the army after high school and served honorably for 22 years. After retirement he received a bachelor’s degree in social work. He spent 10 years working with Communities in School, becoming a mentor to many middle school students.

He married Birgit in September 1973. And together they raised two children, Robert, and Michelle. He was a loving husband and father, always putting family first. Providing the best life for them. He was always trying to guide, help, and encourage people, especially his students and young enlisted soldiers.

He enjoyed listening to music, learning history, and traveling to historic sites. He loved watching high school football and track, saying that the game was still pure at that age. He liked running and cycling, completing several 5k and 10k races.

He was preceded in death by his father Benjamin, mother Hilda, and sisters Myra and Debra. He is survived by his wife Birgit, son Robert, grandson Shane Benjamin, and daughter Michelle. Also, his brothers Alvin, Robert and Reginald; sisters Betty and Sandra. And sister-in-law Christina. And numerous nieces and nephews.
