Beulah Pittman

December 14, 1926 — April 25, 2022

Killeen

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall
have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
~John 16:33~
Certainty is the foundation upon which the eternal security of believers rest. It is the believer's
guarantee of triumph over the toils and troubles of this world.
Housed in the smile and embedded in the spirit of Beulah Marie Pittman was the certainty of her
eternal security. She was born to the parental stewardship of Luvenia and Paul Cartwright on
December 14, 1926, in the small town of Carthage, Texas.
In the tender years of her youth, she settled her eternal destiny, bound for heaven by accepting
Jesus as her personal Savior. Her resolve to live under His Lordship began when she united
with St. John Baptist Church in Silsbee, Texas. Here, her testimony as a child of God and her
testimony were inseparable. She was a faithful member of her church, serving with the joy of the
Lord as a dedicated member of the choir.
Her fondness for the Word of God proved fruitful in the life she lived. She was more than a
reader and a hearer but a doer of the Word. Among some of her favorite bible passages that
filled her heart are Psalm 23, Psalm 27, Psalm103:14-17, and John 17:4. The dominant theme
of each one of these passages is the Certainty of the believer’s Security fueled by the
Confidence and Courage to live. This theme leaves no one to wonder why her infectious smile
was impactful upon the lives of others.
Among so many remarkable qualities housed in the dimensions of her unique identity, she was
an amazing mother, a dedicated sister, a devoted grandmother, and a faithful friend. While she
bore no human perfections in an imperfect world, none who know her could ever find a reason
to discredit the honor of her life by the way she lived. She was a virtuous woman whose heart
was filled with love, honesty, and integrity birthed out of her reverence for God and respect for
others. Her life was an extension of the Light of Christ in the darkness of this world.
Her heart for hospitality exceeded the common bounds of the seasonal and the superficial.
Every opportunity she had, she exercised her culinary skills in the kitchen to bless the appetites
of many loved ones and friends.
Her food was like no other. So enormous was her heart not only to cook but to share her recipes
with joy! So impactful was her earthly tenure upon the lives of everyone blessed to know her;
she will always be celebrated and never be forgotten.
On the morning of April 25, 2022, while she was waiting patiently on the Lord, Sister Beulah
Pittman was gently summoned to enter the Father's Eternal Presence.
Now at rest, she joins the ranks of those who preceded her earthly transition. Among them is
her husband: Pete Pittman; parents: Luvenia and Paul Cartwright; children: Betty Robinson and Dorothy Brooking; siblings: grandchildren: Grady Lee Webb, Fannie Bowman, Mattie L. Pryor,
Rosa Cartwright; Grandchildren: Raymond E. Robinson and Annie L. Robinson.
Among those who will ever cherish her life and legacy until the family reunion at the return of
our Lord are her grandchildren, Dieann, Joyce, Grace (her adopted granddaughter), one
god-son, James Taylor, two consummate sisters, Ethel Chambers and Rosemary Nelson, 30
first, second and third generations of grandchildren, and an enormous host of nephews, nieces,
cousins, and friends.
