Earnestine Kinsely, 76, of Killeen, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on December 12th, at a Temple Hospital surrounded by her family.

Ernestine was born on February 25, 1945, to John and Rose Edwards in Minden, Louisiana,  and she immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Earnestine attended and graduated from Webster High School in 1964. After graduating, Earnestine went on to pursue a  Degree in Child Development at Central Texas College. She had a love for children and gardening, but her number one love was spending time with her family and friends.

Earnestine married the love of her life, Thurman Kinsey on March 1963, and from this union they were blessed with one beautiful child named Sonya. Earnestine and Thurman were married for 58 wonderful years until her passing.

Earnestine is preceded in death by her parents John and Rose Edwards; seven siblings, Booker T, Johnny, Viola, Leola, Parilee, Annie Lee and Mary Lee.

She is survived by her husband, Thurman Kinsey, and her only child, Sonya Kinsey; one brother, Henry Kinsey and his wife Annie; one sister, Ruby Jackson;  her adopted daughter, Brenda Harris; Frederick Anderson, Leiza and her grandson's Kenneth Phelps Jr, Stephen Gregory, Frederick Santiago, Stephen Anderson, great grandchildren, Ava, Alex and numerous nieces and nephews.


Please consider a donation in Earnestine's name to her favorite charity, The Epilepsy Foundation Texas, located at 2401 Fountain View Dr. Suite 900, Houston, Texas 77057.  This organization was very important to her.

Services will be held on Wednesday December 22nd at 10:00 a.m., at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
