Freddie L. Ellis, born May 29, 1938 in Whitebead, Oklahoma died on July 7, 2021 in Oklahoma surrounded by family. He married Wyota Sue Cain on June 21, 1959 and joined the US Army after his marriage. He retired in Killeen, Texas after serving over 20 years. He loved to laugh, read, watch westerns, and study the Bible.

He is survived by his children, Vickie Ellis of Oklahoma City, OK, Betty & Robert Hermosillo of Harker Heights, TX, Fred & Tammy Ellis of Belton, TX, Judy Ellis of Oklahoma City, OK, Scott & Rhonda Ellis of Florence, TX and Kevin Ellis & Jon Cabe of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Melissa & Kenneth King, Michael Hermosillo, Preston & Lisa Ellis, Emily Ellis, Taylor Ellis & Joshua Morado, Tyler Ellis, Mason & Emily Ellis, Ashley & Jon Overholt, Rachel Burchett & Asael Rodriguez and Justin Ellis & Mary Silas; and his great grandchildren; Jayden & Jasmine Smith, Mia & Milo Rodriguez, Barron & Leah Ellis.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years.

Viewing will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Harper-Talasek in Killeen. Burial will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 at 9:00 am at Central Texas Veteran’s Cemetery.
