Frederick Labounty

Fred LaBounty, 74, of Harker Heights, TX, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9, 2023 in the comfort of his home. Fred, born and raised in Texas, joined the Marines after High School and honorably served in Japan during the Vietnam war. He later went to the University of Texas where he became a Pharmacist and spent most of his career at Scott & White. A true outdoorsman, Fred loved to bike, hike and spend time taking beautiful photos of nature. Through his camera lens, he shared the true beauty of Texas and other National Parks with his family and friends.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Chris LaBounty, his daughter, Laurie (LaBounty) Koumoundouros, son-in-law, Mikhail Koumoundouros, and his two beloved grandchildren, Georgia Koumoundouros and Miles Koumoundouros of Austin, Texas.

Services will be January 20th at 9am at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mona Pants Foundation, Cuz I Matter Animal Rescue and Wildlife Rescue of Kendalia. Rest In Peace Fred, we love and miss you!
