Herman Sylvester Hawkins passed from this life on December 2, 2019 in Killeen, Texas.

A visitation will be held at Harper Talasek Funeral Home from 11-12:30 on December 11, 2019.

Funeral service will be held at Harper Talasek Funeral Home chapel at 12:30.

Graveside will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on December 11, 2019 at 2PM.

He was born on June 16, 1948 to Jesse and Bernice Wilson in Birmingham, Alabama.

Herman retired from the Military in 1994 then went to work for Carl R. Darnall Medical Center in Ft. Hood, Texas.  He enjoyed watching college football, especially the Longhorns, with his beloved pups.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Monika; daughter Charleen Edwards and her husband Jae; daughter Marlena Lagasse; Son Robert Lagasse III; grandson Richard White; granddaughter Angel White; grandson Jr. Edwards; granddaughter Tiffany Edwards; and granddaughter Keira.
