Jessie was born September 12, 1949, in Burnet Texas. Jessie’s work as a cedar chopper and heavy equipment operator led him to live in several areas throughout the beautiful Texas Hill Country before settling in Killeen, Texas with his lifetime love and wife Donna.

Jessie Fry lived most of his early years on the Fry Ranch in Burnet County where most of his kinfolks now rest in the Fry Family Cemetery. The land had been settled in 1855 by Jessie’s Great-Great-Grandfather, John Waller Fry during the Texas Indian Wars.

From an early age Jessie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and just being outdoors. He also became quite the mechanic through the years. He loved upgrading and making repairs on his cars and trucks and quite often enjoyed sharing his talent by helping others as well.

He also took satisfaction in making a variety of knives for his collection or just as gifts for some lucky family member or friend. In later pass times he could be found playing one of his many favorite video games and drinking coffee.

Jessie was a much-loved husband, son, dad, grand-paw and uncle. He was preceded in death by; his dad Jesse Fry, his mom Ella Whitehead, and two of his younger siblings Earnest Fry and Ruby Foster.

He is survived by his caring wife of 36 years, Donna Fry, his sons, Jessie Fry Jr., Marvin, Dwayne and daughter Diane. He is also survived by his brothers, Shawn Fry and wife Erica, Aaron Fry and wife Diane, and their sister-in-law Nina Fry.
