Ronnie Calvin Moore was born on July 12, 1964 to Ronnie Gentry Moore and Savannah Mae Penn in Martinsville, VA. He was reared in Henry County Public School System. He graduated from G. W. Carver High in 1984. Immediately following high school, Ronnie joined the United States Army. He completed credits equivalent to an Associates Degree in General Studies at Troy State College during his Active Duty Service.

Ronnie served in the Army from 1984-1993, had Reserve time, and also served during the Gulf War in 1991. Medals received are as follows: Sharpshooter Qualification Badge (M 16), Expert Qualification Badge (Hand Grenade), Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 SS, Army Good Conduct Medal, Driver and Mechanic Badge, Army Service Ribbon and Kuwait Liberation Medal-Saudi Arabia.

Prior to his illness, Ronnie worked for AAFES and lastly worked with the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System, in Temple TX, where he remained until hospitalization.

Ronnie leaves his wife, Rhonda Prillaman Moore of Harker Heights TX and his ‘Road Dog/Best Bud’ aka Prince (dog). He also leaves his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ronnie Gentry Moore, sisters, Renee Moore Johnson (Stephon) and Patricia Burgess Scales (Lawrence), both of Martinsville, VA. He also leaves a niece, nephews, godchildren and a host of friends that loved him unconditionally. He will forever be missed.
