Tony Aviles

Fernando passed away on January 29, 2022, after a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Memorial and interment will take place March 4, 2022. He will be buried at the Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Fernando, or Tony as he was known by many, was born in the small town of Isabela, Puerto Rico to Fernando and Isolina Aviles. He was the oldest of four children. He grew up and lived in Isabela until the age of 14. His family relocated to New York and Tony eventually joined the Air Force. In 1958 he married Lila Abdul. He loved music and cars.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and a grandson.

Survivors include his wife Lila, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
